
Harrison Begay
Harrison Begay, front man for the Sir Harrison band, was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. Harrison is of full Navajo descent (Dine). Harrison left his career in journalism in 2002 to pursue his passion, music. His first self-produced album in 2007 “Sir Harrison and the Blues Kings” was nominated by the Native American Music Awards for “Best Blues Album.” Sir Harrison was twice nominated to be inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 2016 and 2020. The Sir Harrison Band’s recent accomplishments include being nominated for Best of Phoenix 2022 and winning The Arizona Blues Competition in 2020, which allowed the Sir Harrison band to compete in the International Blues Competition in Memphis, Tennessee. Sir Harrison’s unique style is smooth, funky and tastefully filled with blues overtones. The combination of his music influences, experiences and personal prowess as an artist creates a sound that he owns.
